Randell Davidson
Randell Davidson started in the fire service as a volunteer with Hantsport Fire Department, later he moved and joined the Windsor Fire Department. In both departments he has served as firefighter, Lieutenent, and Captain. Currently he is employed as a firefighter with the Department of National Defense, CFB Halifax.
Highlights of Randell's training are being a Certified level II Firefighter and Fire Service Instructor level I. He has also holds a Certificate in Fire Service Leadership from Dalhousie University. Other assets include training in High Angle and Nuclear Response.

Jeff Clayton
Jim Mailman
Jim Mailman began his fire service career in 1996 as a volunteer in the Kentville, NS Fire Department where he served on Rescue Co 4. Jim soon attained his Firefighter-1 from the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in 1998.
He also attained the rank of Lieutenant (Rescue Co. 4) in 2001, prior to joining the Windsor, NS Volunteer Fire Department. In 2002 Jim was hired by Halifax Regional Fire Services where he currently serves as an Acting Driver/Operator.
Jim holds numerous fire service certificates, including his Level-1 Fire Service Instructor certification. Jim also played an integral part in the forming of Atlantic Fire Training.

Steve Young
Steve Young is a second generation firefighter who joined the fire service in 1991. Steve served with many volunteer departments commencing in Aylesford, NS. Steve also served in New Minas, NS and Kentville, NS. He was employed as a Level 2 Paramedic for 7 years prior to attending Durham College in 2001.
Upon graduation Steve was immediately hired by Ontario Power Generation to provide fire protection at its Darlington Nuclear Generation Station. In the fall of 2002, Steve accepted a position with the Kitchener Fire Department, where he has had the opportunity to serve on some of the busiest companies in the city.
Steve holds numerous certificates from both his fire and EMS careers, including a Certificate in Fire Service Leadership from Dalhousie University and currently sits on the KPFFA Health and Safety Committee. Steve is also a Firefighter Survival and Rapid Intervention Team Associate Instructor for the Ontario Fire College.

Wade Young
Wade Young is a second generation firefighter. He began his career in 1997 in New Ross NS, and also served with the Wolfville, Windsor, and Hantsport NS fire departments. In 2001 Wade was promoted to Lieutenant with the Windsor Fire Department. While there he also served as the Training Committee Chairperson for the Hants County Firefighters Association.
He was employed as a Level-1 Paramedic for 6 years prior to being hired by the Halifax Regional Fire Services in 2006, where he currently serves as an Acting Driver/Operator.
Wade is a certified Fire Service Level-1 Instructor, and was an Assistant Instructor/Instructor for 5 years at the Nova Scotia Fire School, instructing both career and volunteer firefighters. He has also instructed rapid intervention and thermal imaging courses throughout Nova Scotia.
Ed Hoffmann
Ed Hoffmann is a second generation Firefighter who started in the Fire Service in 1996 as a Vol. FF for the Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Service. Hired in 2002, Ed is an NFPA certified FF II and Instructor I and is currently assigned to one of the busiest companies in Halifax as a Haz-Mat / CBRN Tech.
He has been an Assistant Instructor / Instructor at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School since 1997 and has attained numerous certificates during this time.
Ed has taught Firefighter Safety and Survival / Saving Your Own at FDIC Atlantic in Wolfville NS since 2003 and has taught at FDIC in Indianapolis. He has also assisted with numerous Rapid Intervention and Thermal Imaging Classes throughout Nova Scotia.

Bill Hazel
Bill Hazel is a third generation volunteer firefighter for the Hantsport, NS Fire Department. He is currently employed as a 911 Operator & Fire Dispatcher.
Bill also assists with the organization of our Nova Scotia workshops.

Jeff Clayton is a third generation firefighter who joined the fire service in 1993 as a Firefighter Cadet in Hantsport, NS, Canada. He worked for 5 years as a Level-1 Paramedic in Nova Scotia while continuing to serve as a volunteer firefighter in the Hantsport, NS; then Kentville, NS fire departments .
Jeff attained his Firefighter -1 from the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in 1998 along with certifications in other disciplines. In 2000 Jeff enrolled in Durham College, Oshawa, Ontario; and graduated in the spring of 2001.
He was immediately hired by Ontario Power Generation to provide fire protection at its Pickering Nuclear Generation Station. In the fall of 2001, Jeff accepted a position with Brampton Fire and Emergency Services, where he has had the opportunity to serve on some of the busiest companies in the city.
Jeff holds numerous certificates from both his fire and EMS careers including R.I.T. from the Fire Department Training Network and a Certificate in Fire Service Leadership from Dalhousie University. He enjoys bringing a real world, common sense approach to the job.
